Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit role requiring a strong cardiac background and prior travel nursing experience.
Details
- Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown)
- Heavy cardiac and CVA patient population
- Day shift schedule with 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts (7:00-19:00)
- Manage cardiac and vasoactive drips including heparin and nitro
Requirements
- Active RN license (TX or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Strong cardiac background including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Experience managing and titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips
- Epic charting experience strongly preferred
- Previous charge experience preferred
Additional Information
- Provide cardiac monitoring and emergency response for a high-acuity cardiac/CVA population
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
- Local candidates are not accepted
- Facility conducts its own onsite drug screening upon arrival, including marijuana testing
