Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 2+ years of experience and independent night shift coverage.

Details

Work in the Ob Gyn Combined unit specializing in Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, and Level 1 Newborn Nursery
9-bed unit with patient ratios per AWHONN Staffing Standards
Night shift 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Every other weekend required (24 weekend hours)
Rotate call during low census periods
Float to other units during high volume when L&D census is low
Uses Meditech and Centricity EHR systems

Requirements

Active RN license (KY or Compact) currently in hand
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, NRP, and STABLE
Minimum 2+ years of experience required
Ability to function as primary L&D nurse on nights independently
Postpartum and Level 1 Newborn nursery experience preferred

Additional Information

Provide nursing care across Labor and Delivery, Antepartum, and Postpartum patient populations
Scrubs of any color accepted as long as professional in appearance
T-shirts other than nursing-themed, blue jeans, and casual wear are not acceptable
Must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
Cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
