Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring BLS, ACLS, and at least one year of related nursing experience.
Details
- Cardiology Cath Lab setting caring for cardiac cath, peripheral, TAVR, and device patients
- Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Weekend rotation required every third or fourth weekend
- On-call responsibilities as coordinated with other staff
- Patient ratio of one patient to four staff members (2 nurses and 2 techs)
- Uses Epic EMR
- 13-week assignment length
Requirements
- Active RN license (LA state or compact) required
- Current BLS and ACLS certification via AHA required
- Minimum 1 year of related nursing experience required
- BSN preferred
- Critical care experience preferred, but new graduates will be considered
Additional Information
- Provide nursing care including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for cath lab patients
- Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
- Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided
- Educate patients and families on care needs and available resources
- Galaxy blue scrubs required as part of dress code
- Temp-to-perm opportunity possible
- Must reside within a 50-mile radius for the travel assignment rate
- Previously employed CHRISTUS staff (non-travel) must have a 6-month separation before applying for this travel assignment
