Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for an LTAC night shift position requiring SC or compact RN license and EPIC EMR experience.

Details

• LTAC Med/Surg Tele unit setting
• Night shift 3x12 or 4x12, 7p-7:30a
• Every other weekend coverage, may vary based on unit needs
• Floating required to other units/campuses based on census needs, within demonstrated competencies
• Uses Omnicell medication system

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in LTAC MS/Tele, MS, or PCU required
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and trauma level I/II experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care for patients requiring medical-surgical and telemetry monitoring in an LTAC setting
• Skills include medication management, respiratory/ventilator care, IV therapy, renal/GU care, wound care, and cardiac monitoring
• Orientation held every Monday with annual compliance requirements
• Pre-assignment testing and modules required for all travelers, to be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
• First-time travelers will be considered based on experience
• Travelers must be more than 100 miles from any Prisma facility to be eligible, with an exception allowing night shift travelers in this specialty to be 50+ miles from the contracted campus
