Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least one year of relevant experience to treat orthopedic and neurologic conditions in an outpatient therapy setting.

Details

• Outpatient therapy setting treating patients of all ages
• Treats orthopedic and neurologic conditions
• Performs range of motion and strength testing along with functional task assessments
• Applies therapeutic modalities including ultrasound, interferential, and iontophoresis
• Uses taping techniques for stabilization, facilitation, or inhibition of movement
• Documents and charges using therapy EMR
• Schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, 40 hours per week
• No weekend, holiday, or floating requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required
• Minimum one year of relevant physical therapy experience required
• IL PT License required if applicable
• BLS-AHA certification required
• Experience with therapy EMR documentation required
• Strong communication and teaching skills required

Additional Information

• Evaluates and treats patients while modifying plans of care as appropriate
• Serves as a clinical resource and role model for staff and students
• Designs individualized plans of care integrating goals, treatment, and discharge planning
• Communicates with referring providers on patient progress and treatment recommendations
• Monitors and provides feedback on care delivered by support personnel
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Local candidates are not accepted
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
• Open to first-time travelers
