Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position requiring at least 1 year of experience and BLS/ACLS certification.

Details

• Medical Surgical unit in a hospital setting
• 1:6 patient ratio
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (18:45-7:15)
• Uses Epic for charting
• Weekend work required
• Floating required to like units within scope as needed

Requirements

• Active RN license (OK State or Compact) required at time of submission
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred

Additional Information

• Skills may include IV therapy, phlebotomy, central line care, blood product administration, and PICC line management
• Respiratory care skills such as BiPAP/CPAP, oxygen administration, and tracheostomy care may be required
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and rapid response/code teams preferred
• Wound care and wound vac management skills preferred
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel position
• First-time travelers will be considered for this role
• Former employees must have a 1-year break in service before returning as a traveler
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
