Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist for a community hospital setting requiring at least 1 year of MRI experience and ARRT certification.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting with 210 staffed beds
• Works across outpatient, inpatient, and ER departments
• Daily caseload of 5-10 patients
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• On-call rotation required
• May float within scope as needed
• Uses 1.5T Siemens Symphony MRI equipment
• Frequent exams include neuro, orthopedic, and abdominal imaging
• Meditech charting system used, experience preferred

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of MRI experience required
• BLS and ARRT required; ARRT Advanced (MR) certification preferred
• License required if applicable
• Outpatient, inpatient, ER, and community hospital experience required
• Level 1 Trauma and Adult ICU experience preferred
• IV start experience required
• PACS and contrast administration experience required
• Proficiency in abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, and spine imaging
• Experience with GE and Siemens equipment, Siemens preferred
• Knowledge of diffusion imaging, gradient echo, spin echo, and T1/T2 weighted imaging preferred
• Experience with image post-processing techniques such as MIP and ADC mapping preferred

Additional Information

• Perform MRI exams across outpatient, inpatient, and ER populations with a focus on neuro, orthopedic, and abdominal imaging
• Responsible for peripheral IV starts and contrast media preparation/administration
• Scrubs may be any color with no emblem
• Free parking available in any unrestricted space
• Candidates must reside more than 30 miles from the facility
• RTO limited to 10 days total, not permitted during the first or last week of assignment, and requires a 2-week assignment extension
• Block scheduling requests are not accommodated
• First-time travelers may be considered
