Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring Level I Trauma experience and a PA license or compact RN license.

Details

• Operating Room setting within a Level I Trauma hospital system
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Floating required between multiple hospital campuses and services within the main OR
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Uses Epic charting system
• No on-call requirement
• No holiday requirement

Requirements

• Active PA RN license or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Trauma Level 1 course and certificate of completion required
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Level II Trauma experience preferred
• Minimum 3 years of OR experience required, including 2 years in specialty
• Previous charge experience required
• Scrub and circulate experience required
• Experience with cardiac, liver transplant, craniotomies, and spinal cases required
• Experience with orthopedic fractures a plus
• Skills in neurology, craniotomy, and scrub neuro surgery preferred
• Experience in general OR, orthopedic, ortho/spine, spinal fusion, and total joint replacement settings

Additional Information

• Scrub and circulate for a variety of complex surgical cases including cardiac, liver transplant, craniotomies, and spinal procedures
• Float between main OR services and across multiple hospital campuses as needed
• Scrubs are provided
• First-time travelers accepted with appropriate experience
• Candidates must reside within 50 miles for local rate differential consideration
