Description

American Traveler is hiring a Sonographer for an evening shift ultrasound position requiring ARDMS Vascular certification plus either General or OBGYN certification and at least one year of recent experience.

Details

• Ultrasound department within a small hospital setting (2 beds) with portable exams performed throughout the facility
• Patient population includes OB and General ultrasound cases
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Performs carotid arteriogram, general ultrasound exams, vascular iliac vein duplex, vascular lower extremity studies, and venous insufficiency studies
• Uses Philips ultrasound equipment (experience preferred)
• EPIC EMR used
• Schedule is Sunday-Thursday 7hr evening shifts, 4:30pm-12:00am, 35 hours per week
• Call required 1-2 nights per week with a 1:6 weekend call rotation and 45 minute response time
• No weekend rotation outside of call
• No floating required

Requirements

• BLS certification required
• ARDMS - Vascular certification required
• ARDMS - General or ARDMS - OBGYN certification required
• License required if applicable
• Minimum of 12 months core experience in unit specialty area, with most recent experience within the last year
• Experience with OB and General ultrasound exams required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Professional reference dated within one year required from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN

• Works alongside other sonographers and a supervisor, with additional support available from Southern Lakes
• Holiday coverage required on a rotating basis (every other holiday), covered via call
• Scrubs of any color permitted
• Free parking available
• Travelers with at least 1 year of experience will be considered
• First-time travelers will not be considered
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate with no radius restrictions
• Former employees of the health system or its subsidiaries must be separated for at least 12 months before being eligible for travel assignments
