Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring high-risk pregnancy experience and active NJ or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Work in the Delivery Room unit of a hospital setting
• Manages high patient census in a high-risk labor and delivery environment
• High acuity and risk pregnancy patient population
• 12-hour AM shifts, 3 days per week (7a-7p)
• Uses EPIC for charting
• No on-call requirements
• Floating to a sister hospital nearby may be required

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
• Experience in high acuity and high-risk labor and delivery required
• EPIC charting experience preferred

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments across all stages of growth and development
• Deliver direct patient care in support of team-based care delivery
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation including patient education
• Demonstrate knowledge of emergency equipment and procedures specific to the unit
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals including Universal Protocol and two-patient identifier verification
• Use safe patient transfer techniques and proper body mechanics
• Collaborate with the care team to prioritize patient needs based on condition changes
• Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
• Local candidates accepted
• Travelers may remain on assignment up to one calendar year from initial start date before a required break
