Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Progressive Care/Med-Surg Telemetry position requiring 2 years of PCU/MS-Tele experience and a FL or compact RN license.

Details

• Med-Surg/Telemetry unit (General Surgery) serving as home base, with floating required to other Med-Surg units, PCU, and ED Hold
• Floating may extend to sister campuses within 15-20 minutes of the home facility
• 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week
• RN to patient ratios of 4-6:1
• Uses Epic EMR
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of combined PCU and Med-Surg/Telemetry experience required
• Degree from an accredited nursing program or 5 years of experience required
• Driver's license address must match address on file with the Board of Nursing

Additional Information

• Travelers will be expected to float first, including to other units and sister campuses
• Must wear Galaxy Blue or White scrubs
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be accepted
• All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application, as the facility does not approve RTO after submission
• Orientation begins on a Friday, including remote orientation and an in-person visit to the facility for badge and ID
• Hard documentation deadline is the Monday prior to start date, with no exceptions for pending documents
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Candidates are expected to integrate as core staff and demonstrate flexibility and teamwork
