Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse for a PACU position at an outpatient surgery center, requiring 2+ years of PACU Phase I and II experience.

Details

Multi-specialty outpatient surgery center setting including Cataracts, GI, Pain Management, Sports Medicine, Hand Surgery, and Podiatry
Recovery room care for post-operative patients ranging in age from 11 months to 100 years
Cases performed under MAC, General, Local, and IVCS anesthesia
RN will perform both Phase I and Phase II recovery in the same bay
Day shift schedule, 07:30-15:30
No weekend, holiday, floating, or on-call requirements

Requirements

Active IL RN license required
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred
American Heart Association certifications accepted; American Red Cross accepted for BLS only
Minimum 2 years of experience in PACU Phase I and II required
Epic EMR experience required and must be reflected in employment history
Two current professional references from a Supervisor, Manager, or Charge nurse in the relevant area, within the last year
Travel reference preferred

Additional Information

Provide post-anesthesia recovery care across both Phase I and Phase II for a diverse surgical patient population
Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
Returning permanent or per diem staff must have a 12-month break in service to be eligible as a traveler
RTO limited to a maximum of 3 days for this 6-week contract length
