Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 4-5 years of ED experience and multiple specialty certifications.

Details

• Work in a 23-bed Emergency Department
• Patient ratios of 4 to 6
• Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend may be required
• Floating between facilities within a 25-mile radius as needed
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active RN license (Maine or Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and CPI or MOAB (CPI/MOAB required prior to start)
• 4-5 years of ED experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Charge nurse experience a plus
• Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional references required

Additional Information

• Provide emergency department nursing care across a variety of patient acuities
• Standard ED education modules required as part of orientation
• No scrub color requirements
• RTO should be minimal, with 3-4 days considered reasonable for the 13-week contract
• Local candidates within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility may be considered, at a reduced bill rate
• Local travelers are not eligible for renewals or extensions
• Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months must disclose this
• First-time travelers may be considered
