Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring NJ or compact RN license and high-risk pregnancy experience in a large hospital setting.

Details

• Work in the Delivery Room unit of a large hospital facility
• High-risk labor and delivery patient population with high patient census
• Uses Epic for charting
• PM shift schedule, 7p-7a, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• No on-call responsibilities
• May float to a sister hospital nearby

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
• Experience with high-risk pregnancies in large hospital facilities required
• Experience functioning effectively in a high-risk labor and delivery unit managing high patient census
• Epic EMR experience required

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments across the continuum of care in labor and delivery
• Provide direct patient care in support of team-based care delivery
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation per facility guidelines
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals, including Universal Protocol and use of two patient identifiers
• Promote a patient- and family-centered care environment
• Local candidates accepted
• Travelers may stay on assignment up to one calendar year from initial start date, after which a break is required before returning
