Description
American Traveler is seeking an Inpatient Rehab Physical Therapist with 1+ year of experience for a 13-week assignment at an inpatient rehabilitation facility.
Details
- Setting: 46-bed Inpatient Rehabilitation unit within a facility that also includes a 10-bed LTACH/ICU
- Shift: Day shift, either 5x8 or 4x10 hours
- 2 weekend shifts per month required
- No on-call requirements
- Charting system: Epic (preferred)
- Patient population includes orthopedic, cardiopulmonary, neurologic, and geriatric conditions
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of recent physical therapy experience required
- BLS certification required
- Alaska PT license required (or compact license); license required if applicable
- Pending license accepted
- LTAC experience preferred
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Experience with adaptive and assistive devices, gait training, and wheelchair assessments
- Skilled in treating orthopedic, cardiopulmonary, and neurologic patient populations
- Experience with modalities such as E-stim and TENS preferred
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include patient assessment, evaluation, treatment planning, and discharge planning within an inpatient rehab setting
- Scrub color: any
- Parking is free
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be considered
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must live outside a 50-mile radius
- All requested RTO must be included at time of offer and is approved on an individual basis
