Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced PACU RN for a 4x10 travel assignment requiring active NV RN licensure and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

• Work in the Surgery/Recovery Room (PACU) unit of a Level II Trauma Center hospital
• Serves adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients recovering from surgical procedures
• 4x10 schedule with varied/rotating shifts across Monday-Friday
• Call requirements include 2 weeknights and 1 weekend day
• Floating to other units may be required based on organizational needs and competency level
• EPIC EMR used, with training provided during orientation or test-out option available

Requirements

• Active NV RN license required prior to start
• AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of Surgery Recovery Room (PACU) experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required, including at least one recent 13-week travel assignment within the past year
• CMP bloodwork completed prior to start

Additional Information

• Provide individualized nursing care across the full episode of patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Coordinate care with other professionals and involve family/caregivers in the care process as appropriate
• Work in an extremely busy, fast-paced environment comparable to a Level I trauma center, serving a 500-mile radius
• Hospital holds Level II Trauma Center and Stroke accreditation with 800 inpatient beds
• May be required to work major holidays and pick up one additional shift during the schedule period
• Minimum of 2 major holidays required for coverage
• Facility reserves the right to cancel shifts (full or partial) with 48 hours notice for low census
• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• A 13-week break is required after ending a prior contract at this facility before being eligible to return
• RTO requests must be submitted with the initial application and will not be added to the end of the contract
