Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring a strong cardiac background and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

• Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown) of a hospital setting
• Heavy cardiac and CVA patient population
• Manage cardiac and vasoactive drips, including heparin and nitro, without titration
• Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips as needed
• Perform cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergency response
• Day shift schedule with 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:00
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active RN license (TX or Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Strong cardiac background required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Must complete facility drug screen (including marijuana testing) upon arrival with no exceptions for positive results

Additional Information

• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility as local candidates are not accepted
• RTO must be submitted at time of application or prior to accepting an offer
• RTO spanning all holidays will not be accepted by the facility
• Orientation includes approximately 2-3 hours of online training modules
• License must be in-hand prior to start date
