Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Telemetry RN for a 12-hour night shift contract requiring advanced telemetry experience and an active NH or compact RN license.

Details

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit within an acute care hospital setting
• 12-hour night shift schedule, 4 shifts per week
• No on-call requirements
• May be requested to float to the facility on an emergency basis
• Cerner EMR experience preferred but not required
• Manages Cardizem and Insulin drips (insulin for hyperglycemia, not DKA) and Phenobarbital on telemetry

Requirements

• Active NH or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Advanced telemetry experience required
• Minimum 2+ years of acute care experience in specialty
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Skills checklist matching specialty required for consideration
• Full NURSYS report with all active RN licenses required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Weekly orientation provided
• First-time travelers with strong experience will be considered
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius for local rate eligibility
• Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 12-month break in service
• 3 professional references required once committed, including 2 from leadership
