Description
American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) with 2+ years of experience for a night shift position, with first-time travelers considered.
Details
- Works in the Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics unit (RRT)
- Night shift, 4x12 hours (18:30-06:30)
- Weekend coverage required every other weekend
- Epic charting experience required
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- CRT or RRT certification required
- LA State License required if applicable
- ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications preferred
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
Additional Information
- Experience with adult critical care, emergency department, and NICU settings
- Skilled in ventilator management including BiPAP, CPAP, high frequency jet ventilator, and oscillator
- Experience with airway management including intubation assist, extubation, and suctioning
- Experience caring for patients with ARDS, aspiration, COVID, cystic fibrosis, and fresh tracheostomy
- NICU/pediatric equipment and procedure experience preferred
- Must work 2 of the 3 winter holidays
- RTO limited to no more than 5 consecutive days
- First-time travelers will be considered
- Permanent staff must be separated from the health system for 1 year before being eligible to travel
- Local candidates within 75 miles accepted at local rate
