Description

American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a night shift critical care position requiring 2+ years of experience and a current MN RN license.

Details

• Work in a critical care ICU with a focus on medical/surgical and cardiac critical care patients
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Night shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 23:00 to 7:30
• Required to work every other weekend
• Float within scope to meet facility needs, including to affiliate hospitals nearby
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic (Excellian) charting system
• Navy scrub color required

Requirements

• Active MN RN license (or pending license accepted)
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (CCRN preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
• Experience with a variety of med/surg and cardiac ICU patients
• 1 supervisor reference required for consideration
• Fingerprinting via LiveScan required per Minnesota state regulations

Additional Information

• Located in a teaching hospital with Level 3 trauma designation and 317 staffed beds
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be considered
• Returning travelers must have been separated from perm staff or per diem status for at least 3 months
• RTO requests ideally limited to no more than 5 days during the assignment
