Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT) with 2+ years experience for a day shift position offering every other weekend coverage.

Details

• Works in the Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics unit
• Day shift, 4x12 hours from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Must work 2 of 3 winter holidays

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience required, higher preferred
• BLS and CRT or RRT certification required
• LA State License required if applicable
• ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Experience in adult critical care, emergency department, and NICU preferred
• Skilled in ventilator management including BiPAP, CPAP, SIMV, and high frequency oscillator/jet ventilation
• Experience with airway management, suctioning, and tracheostomy care
• Experience drawing and interpreting arterial blood gases
• Experience caring for patients with ARDS, COVID, cystic fibrosis, and those requiring ECMO or bronchoscopy preferred

Additional Information

• First-time travelers accepted
• RTO should not exceed 5 consecutive days
• Local candidates within 75 miles accepted at local rate
• Permanent staff must be separated from the health system for at least 1 year before being eligible for travel positions
