Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery/LDRP position requiring 2+ years of L&D, postpartum, nursery, and Mother/Baby experience with a FL or compact RN license.

Details

• Labor and Delivery unit providing antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and neonatal obstetrical care
• 13-week assignment with Days shift (7a-7p)
• Flexibility to float to other units based on facility needs

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• PALS certification required, obtainable within 30 days of start
• AWHONN certification preferred, may be completed onsite
• AHCA clearance required for FL placement
• 2+ years of recent L&D, postpartum, nursery, and Mother/Baby experience required
• No certifications expiring within first 30 days of start
• No employment gaps of 90+ days in the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide shift accountability for obstetrical patient care utilizing the nursing process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy
• Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning safe patient care
• Delegate care priorities and supervise assigned personnel according to their education and experience
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing continuing education
• Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
• Candidates who worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years will not be considered
• RTO requests must be less than one week
