Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU Float position requiring MA RN licensure and Level 1 trauma ICU or MICU experience.
Details
- Float position covering Medical ICU/HVCC, SICU, and IMC units
- 32-bed Medical ICU also licensed for Neuro Critical Care patients
- Patient ratios of 1:2, or 1:1 for higher acuity cases
- Cases include sepsis, ESRD and AKI requiring CRRT/CVVH, post cardiac arrest care, and respiratory failure
- 3x12-hour AM shifts totaling 36 hours per week
- No on-call responsibilities
- 48-hour contracts accommodated
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (both through American Heart Association)
- Minimum 1 year experience in a Level 1 trauma ICU, or 2 years preferred experience in a MICU setting
- New graduate nurses with only 1 year of experience are not suitable for this unit
