Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN with NJ or compact licensure and NRP certification for a 13-week day shift assignment.

Details

Labor & Delivery unit with 7 rooms averaging 3-4 patients daily
Patient ratio of 1:2
Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00am-7:30pm
Every other weekend required (Saturday and Sunday)
May float within scope to Mother/Baby and Nursery units, including serving as baby catcher
No on-call requirements
Uses Epic charting system
One summer holiday, one winter eve, and one winter night shift assigned based on need

Requirements

Active NJ or compact RN license required
Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
AWHONN Intermediate certification preferred
Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience required
Experience scrubbing and circulating for C-sections required
Experience with fetal monitoring, high-risk deliveries, vaginal deliveries, C-section recovery, neonatal resuscitation, and postpartum care required
Previous charge experience preferred
Teaching hospital experience preferred
Epic charting experience preferred

Additional Information

Scrubs are provided
Up to 2 pre-approved time-off requests permitted per contract
Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at a local rate differential
