Description

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist for a rotating shift assignment requiring RDMS or ARRT(S) certification and BLS.

Details

• Diagnostic Imaging department performing general abdominal, OB, and small parts ultrasound exams
• 4x10 hour rotating shifts
• 13-week assignment with 36 guaranteed hours
• Uses HIS and PACS computer systems for documentation

Requirements

• Active CO state license required
• RDMS (ARDMS) or ARRT with Sonography (S) credential required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Previous experience performing radiographic and ultrasound examinations preferred
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Perform ultrasound examinations according to facility protocols and review each exam for technical accuracy before sending to radiologist
• Identify patients, verify exam orders, and review consistency of demographic information
• Maintain constructive communication with patients, families, physicians, and care team members
• Determine the best method of obtaining exams with minimal or no supervision
• Maintain department policies, confidentiality, quality assurance, safety, and infection control standards
• Monitor supply inventory and keep exam and dressing rooms stocked and neat
• Must be HIPAA compliant
• CAPS registration required and may take up to two weeks to obtain
