Description

American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a high-acuity step-down unit requiring OH or compact RN license and ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.

Details

Acute care ICU unit with 6 private beds functioning as a high acuity step-down, low acuity ICU
Serves as the hospital's current COVID unit
Patient ratios of 1 to 2
Common diagnoses include sepsis, COPD, DKA, overdose, renal issues, surgical cases, and respiratory issues
Uses TruBridge - Evident (CPSI-Evident) EMR system
Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7am-7pm
Every other weekend required
Floating required to Telemetry/MedSurg unit

Requirements

Active OH or compact RN license required
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
Minimum 2 years of experience required
ECG exam required on first day of assignment

Additional Information

One shift of floor orientation provided
Travelers typically do not work holidays, depending on schedule and permanent staff availability
Scrub color requirement: Royal Blue
N95 masks provided and used for 24 hours before replacement
