Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department role requiring at least 2 years of ER experience and a prior travel contract.
Details
- Level 4 trauma center Emergency Department setting
- 13-week contract with 36 or 48 hour options available
- Afternoon shift, 12-hour shifts from 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM (flexible start times of 1000, 1100, or 1200 considered)
- Weekend package required covering Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
- No on-call requirements
- May float within the same discipline across local campuses
- Uses Epic EMR
Requirements
- Active RN license (IA or compact) required; IL license candidates must also hold or be applying for an IA license
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
- Minimum 2 years of recent ER experience required
- At least one completed travel contract required
- Experience with critical and emergency IV drips including pressors, antiarrhythmics, and sedation required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Driver's license required for consideration
- One supervisory reference from within the past 2 years required at time of consideration
- Must not have been employed by the facility within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Provide professional nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary emergency department team
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rate
- Required to work 2 of 3 winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, Thanksgiving)
- Limited to 1 day off request during the periods of 11/26-11/30 and 12/23-1/2, regardless of holidays worked
