Description

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a Post Surgical Unit night shift position requiring CA RN license and EKG interpretation skills.

Details

• Post Surgical Unit (MS Tele) within a hospital setting
• Stationed on a hybrid SCU unit caring for telemetry/med-surg patients
• Floating to other telemetry/med-surg units as hospital needs arise
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:30)
• Every other weekend required
• On-call as needed

Requirements

• Active CA RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or ARC)
• EKG interpretation skills required
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience required
• Experience caring for telemetry patients including reading cardiac rhythms and acting on rhythm changes
• Experience administering IV cardiac drips such as Amiodarone and Cardizem
• Experience with heparin and insulin drip administration
• Traveler experience preferred

Additional Information

• Deliver and coordinate care for acutely ill adult and geriatric patients requiring cardiac monitoring
• Address physiological, psychosocial, safety, learning, and self-care needs of patients and families
• Holiday coverage required for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
• Only 1 holiday may be requested off per contract
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius for local rate eligibility
• Local candidates accepted at local rate
• Returning employees/travelers must have a 1-year separation before returning
