Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2+ years of ED experience and NJ or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Work in a hospital Emergency Department setting
• Manage a patient load of up to 7 patients
• AM shift schedule, 7a-7p, 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts totaling 36 hours weekly
• On-call responsibilities required
• Must be open to floating, including to a sister hospital nearby
• Uses Epic EMR for charting

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license required
• BLS, ACLS, and RN License required
• PALS required for pediatric ER assignments
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience required
• 1 year of Critical Care or Cardiac experience required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Associate's degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred

• Perform comprehensive, systematic patient assessments across all age groups from pediatric to geriatric
• Deliver competent clinical care using emergency equipment and procedures
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation including patient education
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals, including Universal Protocol and two-patient identifier verification
• Promote a patient- and family-centered care environment while maintaining HIPAA confidentiality
• Use safe transfer techniques and proper body mechanics for patient and self safety
