Description
American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN requiring IN or compact license, two years acute care RN experience, and Epic proficiency.
Details
- Work on a 24-bed Med-Surg Telemetry unit
- Patient ratio of 6:1 with mixed diagnoses
- RN reads telemetry but does not titrate medications
- Uses IV/PCA pumps, wound vacs, and glucometers
- Cares for patients requiring trach, feeding tube, CPAP, wound vac, and dialysis assessment support
- Day shift schedule 6:45a-7:15p, three days per week
- Required to work every other weekend
- Unit supported by a CRN, discharge nurse, and weekday pharmacists
- Documents in Epic EMR
Requirements
- Active IN or compact RN license required
- BLS and NIHSS certification required
- Minimum two years of acute care inpatient RN experience required
- Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
- Epic EMR experience required
Additional Information
- Responsible for patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Provides patient and family education throughout stay and at discharge
- Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff and may mentor or precept
- Participates in quality, safety, and process improvement efforts
- No local rate drop applies to this position
