Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a cardiac/IR unit requiring ARRT certification and 1+ years of IR/Angio experience.

Details

• Interventional Radiology department within a hospital setting
• Day shift, 4x10 hour shifts, either 7:00 AM-5:30 PM or 7:30 AM-6:00 PM
• Daily caseload of approximately 25 patients
• Rotating days off with call, weekend, and holiday coverage required
• No floating to other units or sister facilities required
• Uses PACS imaging system and Siemens equipment (preferred)

Requirements

• ARRT (R) certification required, ARRT (VI) preferred
• BLS certification required
• Virginia state license required (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Interventional Radiology
• Community hospital experience required
• Proficiency with PACS, biopsies, and contrast administration required
• Experience required in IR/Angio special procedures including stents, ablations, angioplasty, angiograms, paracentesis, thoracentesis, nephrostomy, kyphoplasty, peripheral vascular studies, abdominal/pelvic studies, upper/lower extremity studies, genitourinary studies, vascular studies, venous access, and LP myelogram
• Epic charting experience preferred

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include venous access, central line and port management, vascular and neurological interventional procedures, genitourinary procedures, and embolization/ablation techniques
• Stocks and manages procedural supplies
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate with no radius restriction
• Block scheduling accommodations at manager's discretion
• RTO requests subject to manager's discretion
• Returning travelers must have a 1-year separation from the facility before rehire
• Up to 8 hours of non-billable pre-start training modules required within 1 week of signing
