Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift assignment requiring CT/compact license and MICU/SICU background.

Details

• ICU setting within a hospital, with required experience in Medical Intensive Care Unit and Surgical Intensive Care Unit
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 19:00-7:30
• Every other weekend required
• 1:2 patient ratio on all shifts unless floated to Med/Surg
• Floating to med/surg and other critical care units within the hospital system as needed
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active CT or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Epic charting system experience required
• Skills required include IV therapy, arterial line management, central line care, PICC line management, and blood product administration
• Experience with ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and BiPAP/CPAP care required
• Experience titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips and administering continuous IV sedation and emergency medications required
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and 12-lead EKG acquisition required
• 1 professional reference required

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to medically and surgically complex ICU patients, including multisystem organ dysfunction management
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Free parking available in any unrestricted space
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
• COVID vaccine and booster required except for religious or medical exemption
• Minimal RTO requested, with no holiday time off approved
• Local candidates not accepted; must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
• Previous staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years to be eligible as a traveler
• First-time travelers will be considered
