Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an inpatient/LTC float position requiring at least 1 year of PT experience and BLS certification.
Details
- LTC/SNF care setting with a Trauma Level 3 hospital
- Works between the hospital and an affiliated Long Term Care/Skilled Nursing Facility location
- Hospital is licensed for 118 beds; therapy caseload typically averages 40-45 patients
- Caseload includes general deconditioning, total joint replacement, post-op ortho, some neuro diagnoses, and general medical-surgical patients
- Uses EPIC for electronic medical records
- Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30/5:00 pm with no call or weekends
- Works alongside 3.5 to 4 other PT/PTAs scheduled daily; will not work alone
- May cross-train to SNF for intermittent coverage needs
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of PT experience within the past 3 years required
- Acute care hospital setting experience within the past 3 years preferred
- Active MN state PT license required; license required if applicable
- Active BLS certification (AHA) required
- EPIC EMR experience highly preferred
- Willingness to cross-train to SNF setting preferred
Additional Information
- Main duties include evaluation and treatment of adult patients with a variety of diagnoses in the acute hospital setting
- Orientation includes computer-based organizational training plus 1:1 EPIC and department orientation
- All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
- Scrub attire accepted in Ceil Blue, Khaki, Gray, or Chocolate Brown polo, or business casual
- Candidates who previously worked for this health system must disclose prior employment and have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission
- Local candidates may be considered at a reduced pay rate if living within 80 miles of the facility
