Description

American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with 1+ years of experience and EPIC EMR proficiency to treat pediatric and adult orthopedic and neuro patients.

• Freestanding outpatient clinic setting
• Patient population includes adult and pediatric orthopedic and neurological conditions, all ages
• Daily patient load of approximately 75-90 patients
• Schedule is 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday and Wednesday-Friday, with Tuesdays and weekends off
• No on-call requirements
• No floating required outside of scope
• EPIC EMR used for charting

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
• BLS certification required
• Missouri license required (license required if applicable)
• Manual therapy certification required
• Wound care certification preferred
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Skills in home exercise programs, lifting and transfers, patient/family education, and safety and injury prevention required
• Experience recognizing signs and symptoms of physical, sexual, and psychological abuse required

Additional Information

• Main responsibilities include outpatient evaluation and treatment of orthopedic and neurological patients across the lifespan
• Facility is a critical access hospital with 35 staffed beds
• Dress code requires a solid-colored collared shirt (polo or athletic style), black dockers or athletic pants, and tennis shoes or loafers; no logos or sleeveless tops permitted
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Pending license candidates may be accepted
• Local candidates within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted
• Maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract, with manager approval required for additional time off or holiday RTO; no RTO permitted during the first week of the assignment
• Returning permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler; returning travelers require an 18-month tenure with a 3-month break in service
