Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse - Operating Room for a night shift assignment requiring a PA or compact RN license, EPIC experience, and at least 2 years of OR experience.
Details
- Operating Room setting handling a variety of surgical specialties including general surgery, gynecology, orthopedics, neurology, urology, vascular, ENT, thoracic, bariatrics, and robotics
- Works 5x8-hour night shifts from 22:45 to 7:15
- On-call responsibilities with a required 30-minute response time
- Weekend and holiday shifts as needed
- Floating as needed
- Utilizes EPIC charting system
Requirements
- Active RN license (PA state license or compact) required - no license issues accepted
- Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC only)
- Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required
- EPIC charting experience required
- Experience with electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources/cords, and other standard OR equipment
- Familiarity with Universal Protocol (Time Out) procedures, specimen handling/labeling, and infection control practices
Additional Information
- Provide perioperative nursing care across a wide range of surgical specialties including general, gynecologic, orthopedic, neurologic, urologic, ENT, thoracic, and robotic procedures
- May include exposure to robotic surgery systems such as the Da Vinci Xi
- Facility is tobacco and fragrance free
- May care for COVID-19 positive patients
- Expected to work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Year's Eve/New Year's Day); if contract spans only 2 holidays, 1 is required
- RTO limited to a maximum of 7 days per contract
- Candidates residing within a 50-mile radius may be considered local and offered a different pay rate
- Travel pairs may apply, though matched schedules cannot be guaranteed
