Description
American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a 24-bed Med-Surg Tele unit requiring 2 years of acute care experience and Epic proficiency.
Details
- Work in a 24-bed Med-Surg Tele unit
- Mixed diagnosis patient population with a 6:1 patient ratio
- Night shift schedule from 6:45p-7:15a, three days per week
- Every other weekend required
- Uses Epic EMR
- RN reads telemetry but does not perform titration
- Unit supported by CRN and discharge nurse, with weekday pharmacist coverage
- Equipment used includes IV/PCA pumps, wound vac, and glucometer
Requirements
- Active RN license (IN or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: BLS and NIHSS
- Minimum 2 years of acute inpatient RN experience required
- Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Experience with trach care, feeding tubes, CPAP, wound vac, and dialysis assessment
Additional Information
- Responsible for assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating patient plans of care
- Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff and may serve as a mentor/preceptor
- Facilitates patient and family education throughout the stay and at discharge
- Participates in quality, safety, and service process improvement initiatives
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams and utilizes organizational resources appropriately
