Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a 13-week night shift contract requiring a KY or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a 41-bed inpatient Cardiac Telemetry/Progressive/Respiratory Care unit
• Care for medical and surgical patients with cardiac dysrhythmia, respiratory illness, and/or significantly altered hemodynamics requiring telemetry monitoring
• Night shift schedule: 1900-0730, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours weekly
• 13-week contract assignment

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact) required
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• No prior nursing experience required, though previous nursing experience is preferred
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety devices
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with care team members
• Last 4 digits of SSN and MM/DD of date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Deliver comprehensive nursing assessments, treatments, and care planning in accordance with scope of practice and hospital policy
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities including patient and family education
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members and delegate tasks appropriately to other staff
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities such as patient satisfaction, falls prevention, and documentation audits
• Candidates must reside within 75 miles of the facility, or may be considered as local at a lower pay rate
