Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg (Intermediate Care Unit) position requiring a CO or compact RN license and at least 1 year of recent experience.

Details

• Work in the Intermediate Care Unit of a hospital setting
• 13-week assignment
• 3x12hr shifts, Days (0700-1930) or Nights (1900-0730)
• 36 hours per week
• Rotating weekends required
• Uses Epic for charting
• May be required to float to other departments based on business need
• May be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift

Requirements

• Active RN license, Single State or Compact (CO)
• BLS certification (AHA) required, must not expire prior to start
• ACLS and NIHSS certifications preferred
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Med/Surg or related specialty required
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• Date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions per state Board of Nursing standards
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care
• Provide patient education, health counseling, and therapeutic treatment
• Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Promote the mission, vision, and values of the health system
• Returning staff must be separated from any facility within the health system for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
