Description
American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an inpatient rehabilitation position at a teaching hospital, requiring 2+ years of inpatient OT experience.
Details
- Inpatient rehabilitation unit setting in a teaching hospital
- Day shift schedule, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM, 40hrs/week
- Weekend requirements TBD; holidays required if needed
- No on-call requirements
- Compact license not accepted
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of current inpatient OT experience required
- Bachelor's degree or higher required
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Massachusetts OT license required if applicable
- Active BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
- Supervisory signed reference from within the past two years required
- Occupational health documentation current to within 1 year required
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care including collaboration with interdisciplinary team members
- Participate in development of comprehensive patient plans of care
- Utilize rehabilitation equipment including splints, orthoses, prostheses, wheelchairs, and ADL equipment
- Apply therapeutic modalities as part of treatment plans
- Must work two required holiday blocks if scheduled: Thanksgiving through the following weekend, Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and the following weekend, and New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and the following weekend
- RTO requests limited to no more than 5 days and must be submitted prior to consideration
- Traveler must have their own vehicle
- First-time travelers may be considered
