Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department I position requiring ND or compact RN licensure and multiple emergency certifications.

Details

Work in the Emergency Department of a 24/7 hospital setting
13-week assignment with 3x12 day/night rotating shifts
36 hours per week with 30-minute meal breaks
No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

Active RN license (North Dakota or Compact) required prior to start
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS through AHA required prior to start
NRP and TNCC certifications required
ENPC certification required upon course qualification
Emergency department nursing experience required

Additional Information

Provide direct nursing care including assessment, care planning, and intervention for emergency patients
Monitor for early warning signs of patient deterioration and respond appropriately, including emergency measures as needed
Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team and complete required documentation and incident reports
Begin discharge planning early and provide patient/family education to support safe discharge
Delegate nursing interventions appropriately within scope of practice and competence
