Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Long Term Care/Skilled Nursing Facility position requiring a Nebraska or compact RN license and at least 1 year of experience.

Details

• Long Term Care/Skilled Nursing Facility setting with 61 beds and a current census of 34
• Patient ratio of approximately 1:17
• Common diagnoses include CHF, dementia, ostomy, catheter care, depression, anxiety, diabetes mellitus, hypothyroidism, hyperlipidemia, hypertension, hemiparesis secondary to CVA, Alzheimer's, pain management, constipation, muscle weakness, A-fib, GERD, and edema
• Uses Point Click Care (PCC) EMR
• Both 8-hour and 12-hour shifts available, primarily 6a-6p days
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• No on-call or call-back responsibilities

Requirements

• Active RN license (Nebraska or Compact) required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• BSN not required
• Valid driver's license required for consideration
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

• Provide nursing care to long-term care and skilled nursing residents across a range of chronic and acute conditions
• Location-specific orientation covers both North and South units
• Local candidates accepted at a lower rate
• Candidates must reside within an 80-mile radius to qualify for travel rate, with local rates applying within that radius or if using facility housing
