Description

American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a 13-week acute care assignment requiring 2 years of L&D experience and Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification.

Details

Acute care hospital, Adult Level IV trauma designation, 38 staffed beds
Labor and Delivery unit caring for labor, post-partum, antepartum, cesarean section, post-op, and newborn patients
Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 06:30-19:00
Required to work at least every other weekend
Some holiday coverage required
No on-call requirements
Uses Epic for charting
Float within unit and across the health system as needed

Requirements

Active RN license required; Oregon state license or proof of license application with fingerprinting accepted
OR (operating room) state licensure required
Current BLS, ACLS, and Advanced NRP certifications
Fetal Monitoring certification required (AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate, or Relias Fetal Heart Monitoring)
AWHONN Advanced certification preferred
Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
Epic charting experience required
Skilled in Labor and Delivery Management, Antepartum Care and Procedures, and Triage of obstetrical patients
Experience circulating for C-section preferred
One professional reference from a Charge Nurse, Supervisor, or Manager required
No felony convictions accepted

Additional Information

Provide comprehensive care across labor, post-partum, antepartum, cesarean section, post-op, and newborn populations
Must complete any assigned education within one week of starting the assignment
Candidates must not reside within 50 miles of any Legacy facility
Former staff must be separated from the facility/system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted per assignment, with no RTO during the first 2 weeks
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Scrubs may be any solid color; L&D/OB Tech scrubs are provided
Free parking available in any unrestricted space
RNs must complete an Epic Test-Out Module, with additional training assigned if not passed
