Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Labor and Delivery position requiring at least 1 year of L&D experience and a CO or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a 19-room Women's and Infants Labor and Delivery Unit
• Night shift schedule with rotating days of the week, 3x12 hour shifts (7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Weekend shifts required per unit needs
• On-call responsibilities required per unit needs
• Float required within the Woman and Infant Unit and potentially within the metro region per facility needs
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active RN license (CO or Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required
• Previous travel experience preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Skilled in labor and delivery management, fetal monitoring, and antepartum/postpartum care
• Experience with high-risk delivery assistance, C-section circulation/scrub/recovery, and vaginal delivery assistance preferred
• Experience with medication administration including Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and antihypertensives
• Experience with neonatal care in the delivery room including APGAR scoring and thermoregulation

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive labor, delivery, antepartum, and postpartum nursing care
• Navy scrub color required
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Maximum of 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract, with blackout periods during certain weeks
• Candidates previously employed by UCHealth or its affiliates must disclose this information
• Candidates on UCHealth's internal do-not-use list will not be considered if they applied to UCHealth positions within the last two years
• Returning travelers who completed a full year assignment must wait at least one year before rebooking
• No blocked scheduling requests permitted
• Completion of facility-specific training modules required within the first week of assignment
