Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) float position requiring charge nurse experience and a WA or compact RN license.

Details

• Short term acute care hospital setting on the PCU/Step-down unit
• Float role covering PCU, ER boarded patients, telemetry, and med-surg patients as needed
• Nurse to patient ratio varies from 1:4 to 1:6 depending on unit acuity
• Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours, 19:00-07:30
• May include charge nurse responsibilities on select small units, managing staffing needs, bed flow, and coordination
• Floating required between facilities within the state
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required
• 2 years of recent RN experience required
• US clinical experience required (Canadian experience alone does not qualify)
• Charge nurse experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last three years in a comparable specialty/setting

Additional Information

• Function as Charge Nurse on select small units typically staffed with 1-2 RNs, LPNs, and CNAs
• Refusal to float between facilities may result in termination of assignment
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not live within 50 miles of the facility
• Minimal to no RTO accepted for consideration
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Candidates must disclose any prior work history at Providence facilities, including dates and location, whether as permanent staff, travel, or per-diem
