Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN with a CA RN license and prior travel nursing experience for a 13-week assignment requiring every other weekend.

Details

• Work in the ICU of a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Required to work every other weekend
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA or ARC)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Experience with any charting system required
• Skills required include IV therapy, central line and PICC line management, arterial line management, blood product administration, ventilator management, ABG interpretation, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, CVA/acute stroke management, and cardiac dysrhythmia management
• Charge RN experience preferred
• Experience with chest tube assistance and fresh tracheostomy care preferred
• eICU experience preferred
• 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to ICU patients including ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and administration of continuous IV sedation and vasoactive medications
• Local candidates accepted at local rate
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius to qualify for travel rate
• Returning employees must have a 1-year separation before being eligible to return as a traveler
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
• Holiday coverage required for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
• Must complete lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
• 7-year work history verification required for all candidates
