Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift assignment at a Critical Access Hospital, requiring at least 1 year of CAH experience and a KS or compact RN license.

Details

• Work on the Medical Surgical floor of a Critical Access Hospital (CAH)
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Shifts will be grouped where possible but no 6-day blocks scheduled
• Possibility to serve as Charge Nurse during assigned shifts
• Floating to other units may be required

Requirements

• Active KS RN license or compact license in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NRP certification preferred
• PALS and TNCC certifications preferred for candidates with ER experience
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience required
• Critical Access Hospital (CAH) experience required
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• ER experience a plus, especially if willing to float
• One professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care on the Med/Surg unit with potential charge nurse responsibilities
• Facility has a lenient background check policy, with further review conducted after offer is made
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travelers
• No mileage radius restriction in place
• No specific return staff policy noted
• Travel experience preferred but not required
