Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Medical ICU position requiring a CA RN license, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and Epic experience.
Details
- Medical ICU/Trauma ICU/Neuro ICU unit in an acute care hospital with a county-designated trauma center
- Day shift 0700-1930, rotating 3x12s or 4x12s with no blocked schedules
- Call is rare
- Uses Epic EMR
- Cares for patients with multi-system failure requiring ventilation, neuro/trauma, respiratory failure, and hemodynamic monitoring
- Manages patients requiring ICP and ventriculostomy monitoring
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- TNCC required, though candidates without it may be considered if obtained before start date
- Minimum 3 years of recent ICU experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Associate Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's degree preferred
- Completion of a Critical Care Nursing course required
Additional Information
- Provides nursing care, supervision, and delegation to ancillary personnel in the critical care setting
- Accurately interprets ECG rhythms and manages patients during life-threatening emergencies
- Verifies alarm settings with Monitor Technician per policy
- Position is represented by CNA
- No radius rule, with local rates matching travel rates
- Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off will be automatically declined
- Candidates with a prior hit on their license will not be considered
