Description

American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric Sonographer/Ultrasound Technologist with at least 1 year of pediatric sonography experience and BLS and ARDMS certification.

Details

Covers NICU, PICU, and Cardiac ICU units
4 scanners available on-site
Performs echocardiographic studies spanning fetal congenital (22+ weeks), pediatric heart disease, and adult congenital echocardiography
Uses Philips equipment, Epic EMR, and PACS Fuji CV Synapse system
Day shift schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
No weekend, on-call, or holiday requirements
Occasional float to Inova Fairfax Campus

Requirements

Minimum 1 year experience in pediatric sonography
Extensive understanding of congenital and unusual forms of non-congenital heart disease
BLS and ARDMS certification required
Registry in Pediatric Echocardiography preferred
Fetal echo experience encouraged, adult echo experience a plus
Epic EMR access required
License required if applicable

Additional Information

Recognizes and triages emergent situations
Provides written communication to cardiologists
Responsible for maintenance of equipment and logging/billing of procedures
1-2 weeks of floor orientation provided
Scrub color is Caribbean Blue
Accepts local candidates at a lower rate within a 50-mile radius
Former permanent employees may return 12 months after their last shift worked
