Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN with an active MA license for a 13-week assignment, requiring at least 2 years of ER experience.

Details

• General Emergency Department caring for combined adult/pediatric population
• Level II Trauma Center setting
• Target patient ratio of 1:2
• Day shift schedule: 3x12 hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• 36 hours per week
• Every third weekend required
• No call requirements
• No floating requirements
• Uses Omnicell medication system and Meditech Expanse documentation system

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• ENPC, MOAB, NRP, TNCC, and PALS certifications preferred
• Meditech charting experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Experience with emergency and trauma care including pediatric and adult patients required
• Skills in cardiac monitoring, EKG interpretation, and dysrhythmia management required
• Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and emergency medication administration required
• Proficiency in triage and PPE/isolation precautions required

Additional Information

• Provide emergency care across a broad range of adult and pediatric conditions including trauma, respiratory, cardiac, and psychiatric emergencies
• Collaborate with the care team to manage critical and multisystem patient needs
• Scrubs of any color permitted
• Some holiday coverage expected
• Minimize time-off requests, especially during the first two weeks of the assignment or for full calendar weeks off
• First-time travelers with strong ER experience will be considered
• Local candidates accepted at the same travel rate
• Candidates must live within a 30-mile radius of the facility
