Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist to perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures with 2+ years of experience and CCI RCIS certification.
Details
- Level II Trauma Center with 431 staffed beds
- 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Day off each week determined by department needs, scheduled 6 weeks in advance
- 24/7 call coverage requirement, averaging 12-14 call days per 42 calendar days
- STEMI call required approximately 1 weekend per month and 5 weekdays per month
- Patient ratio of 1:6
- May float within facility or nearby affiliated facilities based on census and volume
- Epic EMR used, experience preferred
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Cardiac Cath Lab
- CCI RCIS certification required
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- VA or compact license required if applicable
- Experience with EKG lead placement, access site prep, and vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
- Skilled in left and right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, and rotablator atherectomy
- Experience with IABP and Impella insertion/removal
- Experience scrubbing for sterile field maintenance and temporary pacemaker procedures
- TAVR and ASD closure experience preferred
- Experience in diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab settings
- Experience with vascular studies/procedures and thrombolysis/thrombectomy preferred
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include equipment setup, accurate monitoring, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
- Scrubs provided
- First-time travelers will be considered
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate with no radius restriction
- RTO requests beyond 7 days require an equivalent extension of the assignment
- All time off requests must be submitted upfront
- Up to 8 hours of pre-start training modules required within 1 week of signing
- Returning travelers must have a 1-year separation from the facility before being eligible for rehire
- RTO scheduling subject to manager discretion
